She's chosen death over solitude and pain and hopelessness before, so the idea of rejecting death completely? Forever? Terrifying, even without all the other factors in play. Like outliving people she loves. Or drinking blood. Or potentially losing it and attacking people. Then having to live with all that, for-freaking-ever.
