[ Audio/Video ]

[ First comes a video of darkness. There's the sound of metal clicking against metal multiplied by a hundred, and the slightest red glow. Then dozens of red lights turn to look at the camera - robot eyes. They swarm, and the video ends.

The broadcast turns to audio. ]

The ventilation system in the school is quite deep. I did not see what was at the bottom, but there was a great deal of moving metal.

Immortals have their scuffles and wars, but they have no sense of urgency. Even the lesser immortals will live for many centuries before they are killed by another.

I'll have to take your word for that. Anyone killing and being killed seems fairly urgent, even if they'll come back. [And he's aware that's heavily influenced by his mortal outlook, but he doesn't really care.]
