Characters: Bucky Barnes, John Watson, Steve Rogers, and Undertaker (walk into a bar...)
Location: Building 131 (the hospital)
Date: Day 208, midday
Summary: Undertaker revives at the hospital after being dead for several days. He's found by both Bucky and John. Also I suck at summaries.
Warnings: Suicidal ideation and mentions of suicide.

--If you aim it well enough. )

[Ever since waking up, collecting his things, and stepping into the stairwell in the hospital, pushed by the force that always pervades revival areas, House has been absolutely paralyzed. Should he go up? Should he stay? Should he contact someone? Should he...? Anything, really. It's like his will has been stripped out of him completely, leaving someone who is absolutely craving direction. He has none. He has too many. There are too many choices, and he can't make a decision. Finally, when the locks click to lockdown, there's one decision that he can make for the simple sake of actually surviving for the immediate future.

House wants to make it private to just one person, but he has no idea who to choose. In the end, he sends out an open message on the network. There's a video showing an elevator and stairwell area that anyone who's been through the hospital will recognize. House is careful of his phrasing. This is an incredibly damaging loss... whatever the hell it is.]

someone tell me where to go from here tomorrow

[His fingers are blistered red still, but House doesn't care. He's wrapped them up in bandages and they were the ones he uses for strumming and picking, anyway. When the audio begins, there's no introduction, just a song. Earthians from the modern era might be able to recognize it, at least.

When it finishes, the doctor speaks.]

Martin Road Series DRSG Dreadnought. Cost me fifteen hundred bucks back home. Interesting little gift from the robo king and queen of Snowhell. I'll be taking requests from people with good tastes in music all night.

Oh, and anyone still wanna pretend that this is reality?

[Mainly because sleep is elusive.]

28 December 2016 @ 04:14 pm
Characters: everyone
Location: mysterious, white hallways
Date: Day 193-194
Summary: Find friends. Get lost. Don't look.
Warnings: Potential for gore and psychological horror. Please note any specific warnings in your subject lines!

While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:

The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.

The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.

The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.

Remember to note what kind of eyes your character has in their top level!

[Hello naughty children it's mania-o-clock. Although Ginger just put up a post earlier in the day, another one goes up fairly late into the night. Because she knows she needs to be quiet anyone trying their best to sleep. Also, emotes make her happy.]

Hi again everyone!!! ~ヾ(^∇^)
I realized when I made my announcement earlier that there are a lot of new faces I haven't met!
It got me to thinking that there are probably a bunch of us who have yet to really get to know each other.
So like I thought we could play another game! This time about...us! Ta-dah! (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧

[Some of you might be able to guess where this is going. Ginger might seem like the sort of person who has a limitless supply of game ideas, but even she can only come up with so much that will allow people to talk about their personal lives to some capacity.]

How about 2 truths and a lie? It'll be a lot of fun! (∗❛ัᴗ❛ั∗)
And we can learn a bit more about each other! Team building you know???
Even if someone's already figured out the answer to someone's post you should still talk to them if you have questions! (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑

[That's how friendships happen!]

[It's almost midnight when House's message goes out. He sounds honestly terrified. His hands are shaking too much to type, and he's too frantic to think of voice-to-text. There's also the music. He can hear it. He can't tell where it's coming from, but it's there and it's fading in and out with the static and a whisper that he can just make out.

It would probably be better to see to his wounds first, but that's secondary at the moment.]

The music. Who's hearing the music and the static? Have anyone's eyes changed? Who can hear it?

[He sings the first few lines.]

Lavender's blue, dilly dilly, lavender's green...

It's Andromeda's song for Winter. It's the song in the apartment with the knives. The Jedi heard it, too. His eyes or his hand set it off.

Who can hear it?

Hello, everyone. For those of you who are new, my name is Natasha Romanov. I'm one of those superheroes you might have been warned about.

In the interest of accurate record keeping, I'd like to help Doctor Strange sort out how many worlds and alternate universes we have here. Knowing what powers you had before arriving would be helpful, too.

I'm not going to twist anyone's arm in this. Share or not, but we might be able to find out a pattern between our home worlds. So, if you could, here are some subjects I'd like you to hit:

World name
Current year
Does magic exist? If so, what is it like?
What is the technology level like when compared to Norfinbury?
Is contact with other worlds/universes/planets common?
Do monsters/ghosts/fairies or other "mythological" creatures exist?
How many sentient races inhabit your planet?
If you come from Earth, name some recent, major events that have happened. We have a lot of "earths" here, and I'd like to separate them out if possible.
How many other people are from your world in Norfinbury?

And as for powers or abilities, try to be as descriptive as possible.
Is it considered magic or a superpower, or something more mundane?
Is your power unique or somewhat common?
How does it work and how do you use it?
Does it have a genetic component, or did you acquire it in some other way?

Thanks.

[Video is a conscious choice for this post. Stephen is new here, a relative unknown, and he's coming to these people asking for information. He sets himself up with his tablet in the bedroom of the house where he's overnighting with Dr. Watson, camera angled to show head and shoulders. The cuts and scrapes of a few days ago are still in evidence, and a sharp eye might pick out the new bruise forming on one cheek.

Besides looking a hell of a lot like Sherlock, he doesn't look much like a neurosurgeon. If anything, he probably looks a little like a super villian, with the goatee and the high-collared red cloak and everything. Just don't tell Stephen that.

He levels a serious gaze on the camera. What comes next is just a little bit rehearsed.
]

My name is Doctor Stephen Strange. I spoke to many of you when I arrived here three days ago, and it seems to me we would all benefit from knowing just who else is here with us. Being able to match up identities to screen names will be helpful to everyone, and it's possible that if we conduct a full census of the people here it might shed some light on the question of why each of us were chosen to be brought here.

I've started already. I marked down the people I've seen on the network since I got here, and I copied over names and dates from the obituaries. I know this list isn't complete, though, so I ask that all of you help me fill in the blanks. Look up yourself, look up the people you know, and tell me what I'm missing.

And, uh, thanks.

[And he reaches up to turn off the feed, one scarred hand visible for only a split second. He'll conduct further responses over audio instead.

Attacked to the image is a link, labeled Network User Census.
]

[OOC: Known errors in the census include incorrectly consolidating records for multiple versions of the same character (Rhys, for example), failure to consolidate characters listed on the obits under slightly different names (Margaret vs. Peggy Carter), possible double-listing of characters separately under screen name and real name when the two names aren't known to be linked, and the exclusion of characters who have not appeared on the obituary or in recent network posts. The spreadsheet has been generated and will continue to be updated with IC knowledge only, including errors.]

Characters: Undertaker, House and potentially Kanan.
Location: Museum (building 199)
Date: Day 185, Evening
Summary: Undertaker meets up with House to exchange some *ahem* wares, anything else tbd.
Warnings: Drug deals?

you can't laugh all the time )

[The video opens to Claire, and only Claire. She's obviously in the corner of a room, careful with the camera angle. She doesn't want her companions to show up on the network if they don't feel like, but she prefers to show her face. Could make her more trustworthy to some.

She lifts a hand, waves, smiles crookedly.]

Hi, everyone.

I don't want this to become long, so I'll cut straight to the chase: in the past little while, I have been compiling a small guide to the most common injuries that can be possibly expected, and some field techniques to treat them.

It is by no means exhaustive, and I plan on adding to it - if you have anything you'd like to see covered, let me know. I'll add it in if there anything that can be done. In any case, I hope this helps if you find yourself stranded somewhere and need to get back on your feet.

[Attached to the message is a link, called Minor Injuries and How To Treat Them.]

If you have any questions, happy to answer them.

[Claire looks away from the camera, and shortly after, the feed cuts. Seems like Claire really didn't want this message to get long.]

[ The tablet's camera isn't focused on Kanan. Instead, it's held at a considerable arm's length to show off what he's got in his other hand: Vanitas's pet, wiggling in a spirited attempt at escaping. Kanan's holding it by what would be the scruff on a normal animal. It doesn't seem to be in pain, but who can really tell? ]

Alright, fight thing. I don't know his network name, maybe one of you does - guy with a bad attitude, black helmet, and a skirt? Needs to come pick up his pet. Found it wandering around the museum area alone and it won't stop following me. It's taking up way too much of my food. If he doesn't say anything, it's free to a good home. Maybe it likes to cuddle.

[ He puts the Unversed back on the floor, gently for someone who seems to be so annoyed about it, and refocuses the camera on his face. His goatee is a wreck! ]

Second of all. Ran across some kind of shrine in the apartment building, looked like it was used for blood sacrifice at some point. Decided to give it a shot. [ He holds up one hand to the camera, where the prophet's symbol is marked permanently on his skin. ] Not sure what this does, but I'm guessing it's probably not good.

Third thing, left some supplies in the museum if anyone needs 'em. It's not much but it should tide you over.

-Guess that's it. @spectreone out.
